I made the mistake of buying this series before reading the first book. Mistake.

I don't like ditzy heroines. This one is the worst. Who hires their worst enemy in town to practically run their shop? Really!

This series received an unbelievably large number of good reviews. I can't understand it. My advice: Read the first book, and get the others one at a time. They go from bad to worse.

The main character buys a house with a suspiciously low price. When asked why it is priced so low, the agent makes up some story about wanting to sell it quickly. In reality, someone died in the house. Later on, when she decides to sell it, the same agent tells her she will most likely not get her investment back because someone died in the house. Really? How about a lawsuit for non-disclosure in the first place.

I would have given it a half star, if I could....

I like the story a lot and enjoyed George talking to her dog. If you are looking for a good story for this weekend, this is the book to read
I really liked this book. I couldnt put it down, cant wait to read the next one. Love the dogs in it.
Another great read by Stacey. Keep up the great work
Even though I read the first two books in this series out of order, I still enjoyed reading this book. I liked the interactions between all of the characters in this book. I liked that the main character's dog, Jasper, helped to solve the mystery. I would recommend this book, to anyone who likes reading cozy mysteries.
George moved from a big city to a small town, gets a dog (Jasper) and even bought a craft store. She found out a woman was killed at the bottom of the stairs of her new house. She also found out that the other woman was her age, a crafter, and owned a dog. The police thought they were all accidents, but George recognized a pattern in all the deaths. She had suspects, found clues and looked for the killer. This was a cute little mystery.
This is the second series I have started of Staceys’. George comes to Pottsville to open a crafting business. She discovers her home was the site of a murder, another single crafter that fell down the stairs. When her new found friend Amanda dies the same way in her home, George decides both deaths are too coincidental and starts investigating. Her crazy dog Jasper helps her. George decides to stay in town, hoping to investigate more cases. Looks to be another good series
I really like how this author writes. Her characters are interesting and her story lines keep you reading. Another great book.
